Jury Duty Scam Targets College Students

Here is her story:
I am a college student and I received a letter in the mail asking me to go down to my local courthouse for jury duty on Monday morning (July 18th) at 10:00 am. I went down to the courthouse and they told me there was no record of this letter going out from them. Any information about it, but knew of a similar scam targeting college students in my area.
